Optimize your Home with our ProductsSpace Heaters
Electric Space Heaters are practical. A Space Heater adds comfort and can reduce your energy bill. If you only use a room or a few rooms at a time, it is not necessary to completely heat the whole house. You can lower the thermostat controlling the central heating system a few degrees, close the door to any unused rooms and use a Space Heater in occupied rooms. You can lower the heat in those unused rooms and still be comfortable in the rooms you occupy. This can effectively save energy while keeping you comfortable. There are several types of electric space heaters. Each heater is best suited to certain uses, although all are capable of heating a room or a small space. OptimumHouse Corp has a wide selection of electric space heaters. Select the appropriate space heater for your individual heating needs. You can select from a Ceramic Heater, Convector Heater, Fan-Forced Heater, Heater/Fan, Oil-Filled Heater, Oscillating Heater, Pedestal Heater, Tower Heater, or Utility Heater. Depending on your use or specific application, these heaters only cost about 9 cents to 18 cents per hour use. Inexpensive and very practical.
Ceramic Heaters
Ceramic Heaters utilize a ceramic heating element and a fan to distribute warm air. Ceramic heaters are very safe because the heating element functions at a very low temperature. They come in different styles for many applications. Compact ceramic heaters are used as table top heaters or personal heaters. Tower surround types are used for all around heat. Pedestal heaters are stylish and can be easily placed in a corner. For moving air around the room, an oscillating style heater is good. Ceramic heaters are practical, safe and cost effective.
Oil-Filled Heaters
Oil-Filled Heaters have special oil that is permanently contained in the unit. They are safe because the heating element is sealed and heated internally. No fumes, no flames, no sparks. The heating element first heats the oil and the body of the heater. The heat is transferred by fins or radiators. Oil-filled heaters do not have a fan, so they are silent. This can be an important factor. Although these heaters take longer to heat up the living space, they maintain a more uniform temperature over time. Also, they retain heat after unit is turned off -- saving more energy.
Convector Heaters
Convection Heaters use natural air circulation to disperse warmth into a room. They circulate the air by drawing cooler air in at the bottom, heating it and letting it pass out of the top. Convection heaters provide even heating throughout your entire room from the ground up. The most commonly used type is the low profile baseboard style heater. The baseboard style heaters do not use a fan, so they do not make noise. These kinds of heaters are good to use underneath leaking windows or by large glass doors. They are safe and energy efficient.
Tower Heaters
Tower Heaters have elevated styles that are designed to distribute warm air throughout the entire room. The models with surround heating offer heat in every direction, so they can be placed in the middle of a room. Some tower heater models have oscillation to push warmth throughout the room. They are effective, stylish and keep you comfortable.
Pedestal Heaters
Pedestal Heaters are designed to push warm air at a higher level. Usually at seated height-- where it is desirable. Using an elevated base and wide oscillation, penetrating warmth is directed for maximum body coverage. Pedestal heaters are attractively designed in contemporary styles conveying warmth and modern styling.
Oscillating Heaters
Oscillating Heaters move from side to side, allowing the warm air to be felt throughout the room. Motorized oscillation provides increased heat dispersion for wider area heating. These heaters have a fan only setting, so it can be used as a portable fan in the summertime. Oscillating heaters are more effective than stationary heaters.
Fan Forced Heaters
Fan-Forced Heaters are the traditional electric space heaters. A fan forces air across wire heating elements pushing the warm air into the room. Fan-forced heaters provide fast and flexible heating. They are usually inexpensive but very effective because they provide fast, even heating of a small area.
Heater/Fans
Heater/Fans are practical for all season use. A heater/fan has a thermostat with heating settings and a fan only setting that allows for multi-season use. The heater/fan works like a fan forced heater but some models have power oscillation for additional air movement.
Utility Heaters
Utility Heaters are powerful, rugged, and more durable than the typical heater. They are ideal for spot heating in the garage, basement, work-room or other partially heated or unheated areas. Utility heaters provide more focused or directed heat, rather than heating the entire space.
